Old figures, old rules, old scenery, old articles, old reviews, and old wargamers. Not old school. Just old.

Lost magazines - Wargamer's Monthly
Thanks to Harry for this curiosity - does anyone remember it? Edited by Sean O'Hogan, it was an attempt at a glossy wargames magazine, published in 1977. This is the only copy I have ever seen. Does anyone know any more, and whether it ever made it to a second issue? The editorial and list of contents are shown below.

I have got a copy - recognise the title - but not sure if more than one issued.
That was quick Rob - within about two minutes of posting.
Just happened to switch on at the right time. It would have been the article on Persians that got me to buy it, though in those days I bought pretty much everything going. There were actually quite a few short lived magazines in those days - one of them, Sword and Lance, published my first actually paid for article back in 1975.
Ditto, remember getting a single issue, never saw or heard anything about a second issue.
A shame it seems to have disappeared so quickly. The cover photograph is great. It would be neat to read the SYW article from the perspective of 2014.
Best Regards,
Stokes
That might be next...
Hi James Shepherd here. I remeber when I was in the trade, being sent a copy and and being asked to pay up front for 12 copies-which never appeared! I believe a book shop in Suffo;lk was something to do with it, and the whole project foundered, with no actual no 2 being produced.
