The Hyper Miniature System by K F Jones, Miniature Warfare August 1969

Some of us may remember systems for using plastic hair rollers or matchsticks to provide large small scale armies, followed by Minifigs regimental blocks. Here K F Jones screws himself up to outline a possible alternative system...I thought I would leave the advert in, in the Carry On spirit of the time. I wonder if the tie was polyester and whether we might see on on e-bay one day.

Hi Clive - I actually raided my Dad's shed for screws after reading this article in 1969. Now I really feel old...

Wow, I am actually off to the hardware shop now, looks like a couple of bags of screws will be coming back with me.

Seriously impressed with those pictures!

This brings back memories. I think I still have a copy of this magazine somewhere.

I mentioned this article once on a TMP thread - didn't realise it was that old, I thought about 1970-71. My favourites were ones like the WW2 type campaigns that used to run - one in particular always enticed me, didn't have the whole series and can't remember the names of the countries, but it included strange assortments of vehicles typical of the availability at the time. Must look it up again. Names like Polcaan or something....
