Redcoat - review from Battle Magazine April 1977

Some interesting views on boardgames, campaigns and supposed differences between British and US wargaming in this review by Tony Bath (I think).

Thanks to DC of Unfashionably Shiny for the scan.

Redcoat is still a respectable set of tactical rules. The campaign information is very useful for determining when certain British/Hessian regiments were in the theatre. One nice thing about the rules is that the average unit is 12 figures, so it doesn't take a barrelful of minis to play.

Playing war board games is a great way to learn and improved strategy.
