Oh and I forgot...

And I also seem to have missed the point at which page views - not "hits" please - went past 400,000. Of course I know many of these are automated and don't represent anyone looking at the blog, but I'm still rather pleased.

Five Years On

With typical efficiency I have missed that 8th April was the 5th anniversary of this blog (but not of vintage wargaming itself, which has been around for much longer).

As this is the Wooden Anniversary, I thought maybe this would be appropriate:

Real life and the normal slow down in posting have reduced the frequency of posts, but I hope to continue to add new (old) material as it comes to light. In the mean time I hope there is enough already here to make the blog a useful place to visit.

(B)Oasthouses

I forgot to notice that at some time in the last few days Vintage Wargaming has gone past 250,000 page views.

To celebrate, here is a picture of my two (relatively recently acquired)Triang Countryside rubber buildings oasthouses - just the thing for refighting Harrold Gerry's French invasion of England.

Landmark: 200 followers

I wasn't expecting to trot this picture out again so soon but a link to the Wargaming in the Twin Cities post on the Grognardia blog has resulted in a couple of hundred hits and ten new followers, so Vintage Wargaming has gone past the 200 followers mark.

Welcome to all the new followers, and thanks to everyone else for your continued support.

Just a brief post to note Vintage Wargaming went past 150,000 page views some time in the early hours of this morning. The current follower count is 189.

Thanks to everyone who views or follows the blog.

Ton up

After a few weeks of watching the number of followers of Vintage Wargaming stuck on 99 the nervous nineties are over - having been away from the internet and e-mail for a few days I came back to see a couple of new joiners had taken the numbers obver 100. A small landmark but it made me smile - clearly a watched blog never boils.
