Southern Militaire 1977 and Bill Lamming - that brings back some memories as I was there. I bought a unit of Byzantine 'Supper Heavy Cavalry' from Bill and had them painted and on the table by the next weekend. I still have that unit - along with [most of] the rest of my Bill Laming Late Byzantine army (anyone got any they no longer want?). I enjoyed Southern Militaire as it was the first 'proper' show I went to. I think it was only held for two years at the Post House Hotel in Southampton and was sponsored by Miniature Figurines. Happy days.
