HG Wells outgunned

HG Wells famously used matchstick-firing artillery models in his Little Wars, but he would have been seriously outgunned by Franz Stollberg, unearthed by Don Featherstone in Wargamer's Newsletter 101, of August 1970.

Lokks like fun.... but I'd never let them aim at my painted minitaures!

Brilliant article - I note a distinct lack of Frau Stollberg bringing in coffee and biscuits for the chaps - presumably she was in the bunker?

I am still wondering uneasily just what "near lethal" means in this context!

Great stuff - regards

Tony, I suspect it means that you wouldn't want to stand in front of one of those guns when it was fired :)

I'm surprised that he could have made working cannons in such a small scale and not have to worry about them exploding/bursting.
